Adjusting the door in the transverse direction. To do this, loosen the hinge mounting bolts — arrow B (Fig. 33) so that door 2 with hinges 1 can move freely in the oblong holes. Adjust the door position so that the door fits tightly against the surrounding parts of the body. This applies primarily to the front part. At the rear, the door is adjusted using the front door lock retainer. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 Nm.

Open the door and install the front door lock striker. Tighten the bolts, do not tighten them. The front door lock striker should move. Install the front door lock striker so that the door opens as easily as possible.

Carefully close the door and slide it until it fits snugly against the adjacent body parts.

Carefully open the door and tighten the front door lock retainer bolts to 20 Nm.

The adjustment of the front door lock retainer should be towards the middle of the vehicle, but not in height.
