The gearbox code is indicated on the nameplate, and is also stamped on the gearbox housing (see illustrations 1.0a, 1.0b).
The transmission of engine torque to the gearbox is carried out through the transmission fluid.
The motor drives the pump impeller in the torque converter (torque converter). From the torque converter pump, automatic transmission fluid flows to the turbine wheel connected to the gearbox, setting it in motion. The pump impeller and the turbine wheel rotate at different speeds. When starting off, this difference in the number of revolutions is maximum, and with increasing speed, the difference becomes minimal (see illustration 1.0c).
