Attention! Cruise control must not be used when traffic is high and road conditions are poor (e.g. ice, gravel ejection, etc.).
Attention! At speeds over 40 km/h with the cruise control on, do not shift into neutral without depressing the clutch pedal, otherwise the engine speed may increase sharply, which may cause engine damage.
To turn cruise control on, move switch A on the headlight/turn signal stalk switch to the EIN position. When the desired speed is reached, press and release button B (FIX).
The speed can be increased beyond the programmed value by pressing the accelerator pedal.
After releasing the pedal, the speed will be adjusted back to the previous value. However, this does not apply to exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 km/h for more than 5 minutes. In this case it is necessary to program the speed again.
The set speed can be reduced by pressing button B: each short press reduces the speed by 1.5 km/h; when the button is held down, the speed decreases automatically, when released, the speed is being programmed at the moment.
When the button is released at a speed of less than 40 km / h, the data is reset.
In this case, after reaching a speed of more than 40 km/h, the speed must be reprogrammed by pressing button B.
The set speed can be increased by moving switch A to the AUFN position: each time it is briefly moved to this position, the speed is reduced by 1.5 km / h; when the switch is held in this position, the speed is reduced automatically, when released, the speed is being programmed at the moment.
Cruise control is temporarily deactivated by depressing the brake pedal and moving switch A to the AUS position. To turn off completely, move and lock switch A to the AUS position or turn off the ignition.
To play back a previously programmed speed after temporarily disabling, move switch A to the leftmost position by releasing the brake or clutch pedal.
If no speed was programmed when cruise control was temporarily disabled, set a new speed by doing the following:
- Vehicles with a gasoline engine. Briefly move switch A to the extreme left position, then move it to the left again and hold it in this position until the desired speed is reached.
- Vehicles with a diesel engine. Move switch A all the way to the left and hold it in this position until the desired speed is reached. When the switch is released, the speed is programmed.
