1. Raise and support the front of the vehicle.

2. Set the gearshift lever to neutral. Remove the gearshift knob, frame and boot.

3. Remove the cross member from under the gearbox.

4. Lower the front of the heat shield. Remove the front section of the exhaust pipe and the catalytic converter.

5. Loosen the adjusting bolt on the shift mechanism.

6. Set the gearshift lever to the vertical position. Center it using a ruler (012).

7. There should be the same distance (a) on both sides.



8. Check that the shift rod is in the neutral position and tighten the adjusting bolt.

9. Check the operation of the gear shift lever.

10. Install the remaining parts and lower the vehicle.

b = 168.5 mm

1. Engage 2nd gear and move the gearshift lever to the left until it stops. Release the lever, it should move 3-9 mm to the neutral position. Check the operation of the gearshift lever.
