Removal
1. Remove the timing belt.
Tensioner
2. Turn the tensioner pulley counterclockwise and insert the pin into the hole located at the top of it. Unscrew the bolt from the hub. Unscrew the tensioner mounting bolts.
3. On AAE, ABK, AAD engines, remove the bolt and disconnect the tensioner from the front of the engine, loosen the nut and disconnect the tensioner pulley.
4. On ACE engines, remove the nut and disconnect the hub at the front of the engine.
Camshaft Sprocket
5. Lock the sprocket and unscrew the bolt.
6. Remove the bolt.
7. Remove the segment key.
Intermediate shaft sprocket
8. Unscrew the sprocket bolt and remove it.
Crankshaft sprocket
9. Unscrew the sprocket bolt, having first locked the shaft, and remove the sprocket.
Examination
1. Clean the sprockets and inspect them for wear or damage.
2. Check the tensioner for wear or damage.
Installation
Crankshaft sprocket
1. Place the sprocket on the shaft and tighten the bolt.
2. Install the timing belt.
Intermediate shaft sprocket
3. Insert the key into the shaft, put on the sprocket and tighten the bolt.
4. Place the belt on the sprocket.
Camshaft Sprocket
5. Insert the key, put on the sprocket, washer and tighten the bolt.
6. Place the belt on the sprocket.
Tensioner
7. Install the tensioner.
