Check the density of the electrolyte in each section of the battery. If the specific gravity of the electrolyte differs by more than 0.040 between sections, the battery must be replaced.
Maintenance free battery
The battery does not require topping up the electrolyte and checking its density. An indicator is used to check the battery status.
Charging this type of battery takes longer than charging conventional batteries. Charging must be carried out at a voltage of 13.9-14.9 volts, the charging current should not exceed 25 amperes.
Normal battery and low maintenance battery
The charging current should be 10% of the battery capacity. It is necessary to continue charging until the specific gravity of the electrolyte increases within 4 hours.
Also, to charge the battery, you can use a charger for continuous recharging of the battery with a charging current of 1.5 Amperes. This charger can be left on overnight.
