Information about the fuel used is given on a sticker on the inside of the hinged cover.
Remove any fuel that gets on the paintwork while refueling. Otherwise, it may damage the varnish. This applies primarily to RME fuel (biodiesel).
Never run out of fuel until the tank is empty. Fuel failure can lead to misfiring. Because of this, unburned fuel enters the exhaust system. This can damage the catalytic converter!
Do not pour fuel into the fuel tank, as otherwise the expansion space will already be filled, which can lead to fuel escaping when heated.
Emergency unlocking of the fuel hatch
In the event of a faulty system of locks with a single control, the fuel hatch cover can be unlocked manually.
1. Open the trunk.
2. Open the round cover in the right side trim.
3. To unlock the filler cap, pull the tab in the direction of the arrow.
