The single control locking system ensures automatic unlocking and locking of the fuel filler flap.
Opening the fuel tank cap
1. To open, press on the right side of the lid.
2. Unscrew the tank filler cap by turning it counterclockwise.
3. Place the unscrewed cap of the fuel tank onto the removed cover of the filler hatch.

Closing the fuel tank cap
1. Tighten the filler cap by turning it clockwise until you hear it lock into place.
2. Close the lid.
Information on the fuel used is provided on the sticker on the inside of the hinged cover.
Remove any fuel that gets on the paintwork when refuelling immediately. Otherwise, it may damage the paintwork. This applies primarily to RME fuel (biodiesel).
Never run out of fuel until the tank is empty. Failure of the fuel supply may result in an ignition failure. Because of this, unburned fuel enters the exhaust system. This may cause damage to the catalytic converter!
Do not pour fuel into the fuel tank, otherwise the expansion space will already be filled, which may lead to fuel leakage when heated.
Emergency release of the fuel filler flap
If the single control locking system is faulty, the fuel filler flap can be unlocked manually.
1. Open the trunk.
2. Open the round cover in the right side trim.
3. To unlock the fuel filler cap, pull the loop in the direction of the arrow.
