Opening the fuel tank cap
- To open, press on the right side of the cover.
- Loosen the filler cap by turning it counterclockwise.
- Put the unscrewed cap of the tank neck on the retracted cover of the filling hatch.
Closing the fuel cap
- Tighten the tank filler cap by turning it clockwise until it is audibly locked.
- Close the lid.
With proper use of the dispensing gun, the fuel tank "full" after the first automatic dispensing gun shut-off. After that, stop refueling, as otherwise the expansion space of the fuel tank will already be filled.
Information about the fuel used is given on a sticker on the inside of the hinged cover.
The fuel tank capacity of front-wheel drive vehicles with a four- and six-cylinder engine is about 70 liters, and with an eight-cylinder engine about 82 liters. In this case, we are talking about approximate capacity.
Emergency unlocking of the fuel hatch
If the central locking system is defective, the fuel door can be unlocked manually.
- Open trunk.
- Remove the right side luggage compartment trim.
- To unlock the filler cap, pull the tab in the direction of the arrow.
If the vehicle is not equipped with a side trim, pull the felt cover down from the trim located in the area of the right rear light.
