Cleaning drain hoses (Audi A4 B6)

The bodywork requires virtually no maintenance, other than the care work described at the beginning of this book. One thing, however, should not be forgotten: regular cleaning of the drain hoses. To do this, you need to make a special device, something like a probe, which you will insert into the hoses. This device, approximately 2300 mm long, can be made from the core of the speedometer drive shaft.



At the front, the water drain hoses run in the A-pillars, ending between the door and the pillar. These are cleaned from the side of the cutout between the glass and the roof. The rear water drain hoses run in the third pillars, ending on the side behind the bumper trim. The rear hoses are cleaned from the bottom, but this requires removing the bumper trim.
