1. The fuel filter is mounted to the left of the engine, behind the generator (pic. 8.1). Wipe it off before starting the procedure. to prevent dirt from entering the fuel system.
2. Place a suitable container under the filter. To improve access, remove the high pressure air duct from the intercooler by loosening the clamps by unscrewing the mounting bolt.
3. Loosen the bleed screw located at the top of the filter, connect the rubber hose to the drain lamb at the bottom of the filter. Guide the hose into the dish underneath.
4. Drain about 100 ml of sludge (pic. AT 4). Tighten the drain plug (lamb) and remove the hose. Remove the dishes.
5. Tighten the bleed screw on top of the filter.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
