The tachometer shows the number of revolutions per minute of the engine crankshaft. To do this, it receives ignition pulses transmitted from the ignition/fuel injection control unit. They are summed up by the electronics of the device and transferred in processed form to the measuring device of the analog indicator.
In the event of malfunctions, the relevant fuses must be checked (chapter Electrical equipment) and wires. The defect may also be in the electrical board of the combined instrument panel.
