The security alarm is designed to prevent attempts to break into and steal a car. In the event of a break-in, the system starts to give sound and light alarm signals.
When the vehicle is locked, the system monitors the following objects:
- underhood space;
- trunk;
- doors;
- radio;
- starter.
The anti-theft alarm does not apply to door windows and the sunroof.
The alarm system is automatically activated when the car is locked using a key inserted into any front door or boot lid, or using the central locking remote control, and deactivated when unlocked. The system enters guard mode approximately 30 seconds after the car is locked.
The activation of the system, as well as the closing of the doors, hood and trunk, is confirmed by a short sound signal given after the car is locked.
If the sound signal does not sound, then the doors, hood and trunk must be checked and, if necessary, closed correctly. If such a check is performed after the system is activated, it will confirm with a sound signal that the car is properly closed.
It is recommended that before leaving the car, you inspect the interior and make sure that all the locking buttons of the door lock switches are recessed. If this is not the case, then the procedure for locking the car must be repeated.
The anti-theft system is triggered when an attempt is made to open a door, hood, trunk, or to turn on the ignition. When the anti-theft system is triggered, an acoustic signal and light alarm are activated for a certain period of time. It is impossible to start the engine during this period. If, after these signals have stopped, a repeated attempt is made to gain access, the sound and light alarm will be activated again.
Note: On cars with remote control of the central lock, switching on and off the anti-theft system and with the driver's door open is accompanied by a sound signal. However, in this case, the engine cannot be started. If the engine does not start, you must press the button on the remote again.
