The infrared emitter, together with the batteries, is mounted in the handle of the car key. Infrared sensors are located in the pillars of both front doors.
The contour of the remote control area is the same on both sides of the vehicle. The maximum range depends on various conditions and ranges from 2 to 4 m. As the batteries are discharged, it decreases. The range is also reduced if the sensors are dirty.
Locking and unlocking the vehicle
Being in the range of the remote control, point the remote control towards the sensor and press, without holding for a long time, the emitter button (see arrow). In this case, the central lock will lock the car and the burglar alarm will turn on or the system will perform the opposite action.
Note: If the vehicle has not been driven for approximately 7 days (the locks were not turned on or off), the infrared receiver will automatically turn off to avoid draining the battery.
To activate the infrared sensor, you must press the button on the remote control, and then open the driver's or passenger's door with the key.
Synchronization of codes
If the door locks of the car do not unlock when you press the button on the remote control, then the reason for this may be a mismatch between the codes on the remote control and on the central locking control unit. This can happen if you frequently use the emitter button outside the system's coverage area.
Synchronization of exchange codes is performed automatically if you open the driver's or passenger's door with the key within one minute after an unsuccessful attempt to open the locks using the remote control.
