Check if there is fuel in the tank.
Remove the fuel hose from the fuel pump on the carburetor and place it in a suitable container. Turn on the starter briefly, and fuel should flow out of the hose in spurts.
Caution: Do not carry out these works near open fire!
Check for fuel in the float chamber by removing the air filter and pressing the accelerator pump. Gasoline should flow into the chamber.
Defective, accelerator pump/tube clogged - check.
If the float chamber is empty, check the needle valve for sticking or clogging
Check the fuel supply pressure. Nominal value: 0.35-0.4 bar at 4000 rpm. The return line must be pinched.
The fuel filter is clogged (in winter it might be icy).
If gasoline is not supplied:
Remove the supply line to the fuel pump.
If fuel is leaking there, check the pump for leaks, perhaps remove it and check it.
If fuel does not flow out, remove the fuel line to the gas tank and blow it out.
Check the gas tank ventilation, clean it. The valve is faulty or clogged
Remove and clean the gas tank.
