Requirements for cleanliness when working with the fuel system
When working with the fuel system, the following rules must be carefully observed:
Thoroughly clean the joints before disassembly.
Put the removed parts on clean pallets and cover them. To do this, use paper or foil. Do not use rags!
Carefully close open parts, or put technological plugs if the repair will be carried out not now, but later.
Replace clean parts.
Spare parts should only be unpacked immediately before installation.
Do not use parts that have been stored without packaging (e.g. in tool boxes, etc.)
With an open fuel system, if possible, do not work with compressed air.
If possible, do not move the car.
Caution: When removing parts of the fuel system, fuel may leak. Fuel vapors are poisonous and highly flammable, therefore it is necessary to ensure good ventilation of the workplace and avoid open flames.
