Removal
Caution: Disconnect the battery ground cable, otherwise there is a risk of short circuit.
Disconnect the wires:
- 1 terminal 30, directly from the positive pole of the battery;
- 2 terminal 15a;
- 3 terminal 50 to the ignition switch.
Loosen the starter mounting bolts on the engine/gearbox.
Unscrew the starter support plate on the cylinder block and remove the starter.
Installation
Insert the starter and tighten the bolts on the engine/gearbox
Tighten the support plate mounting bolt on the cylinder block, align the support plate if necessary.
Connect the electrical wires.
Caution: Make sure that wire 1 does not touch the motor, otherwise there is a risk of short circuit.
Connect ground to the battery.
