Brake pedal — removal and installation

1. From inside the vehicle, disconnect the return spring from the brake pedal and the booster pushrod clamp. Remove the lower instrument panel if necessary.

2. Remove the bracket and remove the pin securing the booster push rod to the pedal.

3. Remove the bracket at the end of the hinge axis and take out the pedal.

4. Clean the parts, check their condition. Temporarily install the pedal, check the bushing wear. Check that the return spring and mounting brackets are not damaged. Check the wear of the rubber foot pad. Replace parts as necessary.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Lubricate the hinge axis with a universal lubricant. Make sure that the bent end of the pedal return spring is placed on the pedal hanger. The straight end should be placed in the hole in the booster pushrod clamp.
