Design and technical characteristics of the gearbox (Audi 80 B2)

Five-speed gearbox with five gears and one reverse with synchronizers on all forward gears. The box is combined with the differential and final drive. Gear shifting is done by a lever on the body floor.

Gearbox type: 013.

Since August 1983, vehicles with OT engines were equipped with a type 013 gearbox with index 3M, the gear ratio of the fifth gear of which became 0.730 instead of 0.684.

Cars with DS engines were equipped with a gearbox type 013 with index 2N.

Since August 1983, cars with DZ engines were equipped with a type 013 gearbox with index 2P.
