Set the heater control handle to the extreme right position.
Remove the plug from the radiator 1 or the plug from the expansion tank, releasing excess pressure in the cooling system.
Unscrew the bot to remove air from the cooling system (see photo).

Drain the coolant by disconnecting the two hoses from the water pump.
On engines without an expansion tank, to fill the system with coolant, do the following:
- set the heater control handle to the extreme right position;
- pour coolant into the radiator until it comes out from under the air bleed bolt;
- tighten the bolt to remove air from the cooling system,
- add liquid to the system until the radiator is completely filled;
- put the radiator cap back in place;
- let the engine run until the electric cooling fan turns on.
On engines with an expansion tank to fill the system with coolant, do the following:
- set the heater control handle to the extreme right position,
- pour coolant into the expansion tank until it comes out from under the air bleed bolt;
- tighten the bolt to bleed air from the cooling system;
- add liquid to the expansion tank to a level 2 cm above the "MIN" mark;
- put the expansion tank cap back in place;
- let the engine run until the electric cooling fan turns on;
- check the fluid level and bring it up to normal if necessary.
When the engine is hot, the coolant level should be slightly above the "MIN" mark on the expansion tank; when the engine is cold, it should be approximately at the "MIN" mark.
