2. To remove the drive belt tensioner, remove the belt from the tension roller (see subsection below) and unscrew the bolts (see illustration 6.3). Installation is carried out in reverse order.
3. To remove the left idler pulley of the drive belt, remove the belt from the tensioner pulley (see subsection below) and remove the timing belt cover by pulling its upper side forward (see illustration) and unhooking the bottom side.
17.3. Removing the upper timing belt cover.
Then unscrew the bolts (see illustration 6.4) and remove the video. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
4. To remove the crankshaft pulley, remove the front sound insulation panel under the engine compartment (see Section 19 of Chapter 1) and loosen the bolts (2 in illustration 6.1) fastening the pulley, holding it from turning by the generator pulley nut. After this, remove the drive belt (see subsection below), unscrew the pulley bolts completely, remove the washer (3) and pulley (36). Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Use new bolts (2) and a new washer (3). Tighten the pulley bolts with the belt installed, holding the pulley from turning using the generator pulley nut.
5. When unscrewing/tightening the bolts securing the coolant pump pulley or power steering pump, hold the pulley from turning using tool No. 3212 (see illustration 6.7).
Removal and installation the drive belt
6. Remove the top engine cover (see Section 19 of Chapter 1).
7. On models prior to 05/2010, disconnect the air hose and move it to the side (see illustration), and then remove the front sound insulation section under the engine compartment.
17.7. Coolant hose clamp (models before 05.2010.).
8. Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors (2 and 3 in the illustration).
17.8. Connectors (2 and 3) and bracket (1).
Remove the bracket (1) and move it to the side along with the electrical wiring.
9. Loosen the belt tension by turning the tensioner in the direction of the arrow (see illustration 4.68) with a T60 Torx head. Remove the belt and release the tensioner.
10. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the belt is positioned correctly in the grooves. If using a used belt, install it with the same side up (according to the marks made during removal).
