Note: There are different capacitor options available depending on the vehicle's configuration.

1. Drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration unit.

2. Remove the sound insulation panels under the engine compartment (see Section 19 of Chapter 1).

3. Remove the bolts (And in the illustration, 20 Nm) and disconnect the refrigerant lines (D and E) from the condenser.

16.3. Condenser refrigerant line bolts (A) and sealing rings (B and C).

16.3. Condenser refrigerant line bolts (A) and sealing rings (B and C).

Seal any open connections.

4. Remove the radiator shroud along with the fans (see section 3).

5. Separate the radiator (And in the illustration) from the front panel (C) and tilt the radiator with the coolant hoses connected as far back as possible.

16.5. Separating the radiator (A) from the front panel (C).

16.5. Separating the radiator (A) from the front panel (C).

The radiator is held on the left and right by clamps (see illustration 3.14) and is attached to the front panel on the left and right with bolts (2 in illustration 3.15).

6. Unscrew the bolt (2 in illustration 3.16) on the rear side of the radiator and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler (1) from the refrigeration unit condenser without disconnecting the power steering fluid lines.

7. Unscrew the bolt (1 in illustration 3.17) on the rear side of the radiator, press the clamps (2 and 3) and remove the ATF cooler (4) from the radiator without disconnecting the ATF hoses.

8. Remove the bolts (3 in illustration 3.18) on the back of the radiator, on the condenser connection block.

9. Depending on the version, press the clamps (2 and 4 in illustration 3.18) or unscrew the bolts (D in the illustration).

16.9. Capacitor fastening.

16.9. Capacitor fastening.

Release the condenser tabs (F) from the supports on the radiator (E).

10. Lift the capacitor (In illustration 16.5), observing the connection block (D). Depending on the engine type, it may be necessary to set the front panel (C) to the service position (see Chapter 10) to provide the necessary clearance between the front panel and the radiator (A) for removing the junction block (D).

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Replace the O-rings (B and C in Illustration 16.3) refrigerant lines, after wetting the new sealing rings with refrigeration oil.
