Installation



The sealing ring "A" of the ATF mesh filter usually remains in the gearbox. If the ATF mesh filter needs to be replaced, remove this sealing ring first. If the old ATF mesh filter is to be installed, the sealing ring can be reused. If the ATF mesh filter is replaced with a new one, the following must be observed. Replace the ATF mesh filter only if it is damaged. In the case of high mileage, it is recommended to replace the ATF mesh filter when removing the ATF oil pan. Using, for example, a screwdriver, carefully remove the cuff of the ATF mesh filter "A" from the gearbox. Do not damage the sealing surface. The illustration shows the cuff with the Mechatronic removed. The new ATF mesh filter is supplied with the sealing ring installed.

Continuation for old and new ATF mesh filters: Carefully press the suction flange of the new ATF mesh filter "A" into the gearbox opening until it stops. In the new ATF mesh filter, it is pressed into the gearbox together with the installed sealing ring. Install the ATF oil pan. Fill with ATF.
