Central differential housing 1. O-ring: replace; lubricate with transmission oil; 2. Central differential; 3. Center differential ball bearing; 4. Flange shaft ball bearing retaining ring; 5. Retaining ring: for flange shaft; 6. Rear shaft ball bearing with flange; 7. Transfer case oil filler plug: 35 Nm; replace; 8. Central differential housing; 9. Rear shaft seal with flange; 10. Rear flange shaft: When replacing the rear flange shaft, also replace the shaft seal; 11. Bolt: replace
Torque and sequence of tightening the center differential housing
Tighten the center differential cover screws in 3 steps.
- 1. Pre-tighten bolts "1" and "2" to a torque of 3 Nm.
- 2. Tighten the bolts in sequence "1...6" to a torque of 8 Nm.
- 3. Unscrew the bolts in the sequence "1...6".
