Fog light bulb (Audi A6 C5)

Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the grille 2 (fig. 14.34) from the front bumper.

Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the grille 2 (fig. 14.34) from the front bumper.


Unscrew screws 1 (fig. 14.34), located at the top and remove the front fog light 3. Do not unscrew the side screw, as it is used to adjust the light of the fog light.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog light.

Unscrew screws 2 (fig. 14.35) and remove the rear cover from the fog light.

Unscrew screws 2 (fig. 14.35) and remove the rear cover from the fog light.


Compress the spring clips 1 (fig. 14.35) lamp mounts and move the brackets to the side.

Disconnect the electrical connectors of the lamp wires from the rear cover of the fog lamp.

Remove the bulb from the headlight.

When installing, do not touch the glass bulb of the lamp with your hands.

Install the new bulb so that the flange protrusion fits into the recess in the headlight reflector.



Secure the lamp with the spring clip by snapping it into place.

Connect the electrical connectors of the lamp wires to the rear cover of the fog lamp.

Install the back cover and screw it in place.

Connect the electrical connector to the fog light.

Install the headlight and screw it in place with the two top screws.

Install the grill.

Check and, if necessary, adjust the fog lights.
