Removal
1. Press the brake pedal at least once until you feel a noticeable resistance when pressing the pedal.
2. Release the parking brake lever completely if it is applied.
3. Remove the air vent from the rear of the center console.
4. Remove the plastic pieces from the cable equalizer, if any. These pieces do not need to be reinstalled.
5. Unscrew the two nuts 1 securing the parking brake lever to the sector (see illustration).

6. Press the parking brake cable inward with a screwdriver and remove the parking brake lever (see illustration 11.5).
Installation
The lever is installed in the reverse order of removal.
