Water pump (Audi A6 C4)

Removal

4-cylinder engines

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the drive belts.

3. Remove the generator.

4. Remove the power steering pump.





5. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the pump pulley.

6. Remove the alternator and power steering pump mounting brackets.

7. Disconnect the water hoses from the pump.



8. Loosen the mounting bolts.





9. Remove the pump.



10. Remove the sealing ring.



11. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the pump and gasket.

5-cylinder engines

1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the rear timing belt cover.

3. Remove the power steering pump and mounting bracket.



4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the pump.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Install a new pump sealing ring.
