Cooling fan temperature switch
Examination
See subsection 4.6.
Withdrawal
1. Partially drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the switch connector and unscrew the switch.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Coolant Temperature Sensor/Warning Light Switch
Both sensors are installed in one module.
Identification of coolant temperature sensor/warning light sensor terminals (3-pin connector)
- 1. Signal light terminal
- 2. Terminal "masses"
- 3. Temperature sensor terminal
Identification of coolant temperature sensor/warning light sensor terminals (4-pin connector)
- + - power terminal
- C - signal light terminal
- R - air conditioner terminal
- T - temperature sensor terminal
Examination
Check the power supply and grounding of the sensors. Check the resistance of the sensors at different coolant temperatures. If the sensors are faulty, they must be replaced.
Withdrawal
1. Partially drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the sensor connector.
3. Unscrew or remove the sensors and remove the O-ring.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel Injection Temperature Sensor
If the sensor fails, the fuel injection system warning light should come on on the instrument panel. To check the sensor, you need to contact a specialist.
Withdrawal
1. Partially drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the sensor connector.
3. Unscrew or remove the sensors and remove the O-ring.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Preheat temperature sensors (2.4L diesel engines)
Withdrawal
1. Partially drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the sensor connector.
3. Unscrew or remove the sensors and remove the O-ring.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
