Main components of the cooling system of a 6-cylinder engine

  • 1. Thermostat
  • 2. Sealing ring
  • 3. Thermostat housing
  • 4. Bolt, tightening torque 10 Nm
  • 5. Sealing gasket
  • 6. Coolant pump - for dismantling it is necessary to remove the poly V-belt and toothed belt
  • 7. Bolt, tightening torque 10 Nm

Removal



1. Drain the coolant.

2. Remove the power steering pump for better access.

2. Remove the power steering pump for better access.


3. Disconnect the water hose from the thermostat cover.

3. Disconnect the water hose from the thermostat cover.


4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the thermostat cover.

5. Remove the thermostat (left - 5-cylinder engine, right - 4-cylinder engine).

Examination



Check the thermostat by placing it in hot water. Replace the thermostat if necessary.

Installation



Installation


1. Install the thermostat and new o-ring in place.

2. Install the thermostat cover and tighten the mounting bolts.

3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
