Oil pump and oil intake pipe (Audi A6 C4)

Removal

1. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft sprocket.

2. Remove the oil pan.

3. Remove the inner timing belt cover.





4. Remove the oil intake pipe.



5. Remove the oil pump and its gasket.

Examination

1. Remove the pump cover. The picture shows the oil pump without the cover.





2. Unscrew the pressure relief valve plug and remove the washer, spring and piston.

3. Inspect all pump and valve parts for wear and damage.

4. Assemble the pump.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
