Withdrawal
1. Remove the fuel tank guard and disconnect the handbrake cables.
2. Disconnect the brake pipes and remove the cables, wires and brake pipes from the mountings on the cross member.
3. Check that all elements are disconnected and do not interfere with the removal of the cross member.
4. Remove the mounting nuts and bolts securing the suspension struts to the cross member.
5. Loosen the caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper from the rack.
6. Loosen the mounting nut and remove the bolt that secures the tie rod to the suspension cross member.
7. Loosen and remove the hinge bolts and remove the cross member.
8. Inspect the mounting bushings and replace if necessary. When installing the bushings, check that the center line B between the notches is at an angle of 90°±4°to the axis of the longitudinal link A.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
