Upholstery and pillows
(seat base without adjustment mechanism. by depth)
1. Upholstery.
2. Tie-down wire: inserted into the receiving pocket of the upholstery; fixed with clamp "pos. 3" (for textile upholstery only).
3. Clamp: integrated into the pillow (for textile upholstery only).
4. Clamping strip: fixed with clamp "pos. 5", sewn to the upholstery.
5. Clamp: Covered with foam material in the cushion.
6. Clamping strip: sewn to the upholstery; for attaching the upholstery to the upper frame of the seat base at the rear.
7. ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
8. Overlay: with clamping profile; the clamping profile is sewn to the upholstery; for attaching the upholstery to the upper frame of the seat base from the side.
9. Mounting bracket: for the trim on the threshold side.
10. Pillow: with integrated wire (for leather upholstery only).
11. Cushion bracket: for leather upholstery only; for attaching upholstery to a pillow; replace after each removal; install it in the same place where it was located before dismantling.
12. Clamping strip: sewn to the upholstery; for installing upholstery on the upper frame of the seat base at the front and sides.
13. Upholstery: with cushion.
Removal
Remove the front seat. Secure the front seat. seat in the seat repair holder "VAS 6136". Remove the front backrest. seats. Remove the retaining clip from the sill side. Equipment variant with ISOFIX child seat mounting (only front seat. passenger): Remove the ISOFIX child seat mounting. Unfasten the clamping profiles "3" of the upholstery from the front and side surfaces "A" and "B". When unfastening the upholstery, remember that the hooks "1" of the hanging edge "2" have been released.
Unfasten the clamping profiles of the pads "1" on both sides from the seat base "3". The ISOFIX child seat anchorages "2" are removed. Unfasten the clamping profile "6" of the upholstery in area "A". When unfastening the upholstery, remember that the hooks "4" of the hanging edge "5" are released. Remove the upholstery with the cushion from the seat base.
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Please note that the plug connections must be inserted all the way until they click into place. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.

Remove the upholstery and cushion from the seat base. Remove trim "1" from the back and sides of cushion "2". On vehicles with a comfort seat, unlock clamp profile "3" from the end face of the cushion in clamp "4".
Unlock clamping profile "4" of upholstery "1" on cushion "3" in clamp "2". Remove the upholstery from the cushion.
Version with textile upholstery: Separate the tie-down wire "3" inserted into the receiving pocket "4" of the upholstery "5" from the fastener "2". Remove the upholstery from the cushion "1".
Leather upholstery option: Release the clamps on cushion "3" using pliers "4". Remove upholstery "1" from cushion "2".
Installation in reverse order. For the leather upholstery version, use the "VAG1634" clamp pliers to install the new cushion clamps.
Upholstery and pillows (seat back)
1. Upholstery: with cushion.
2. Side Airbag.
3. Edging: sewn to the upholstery; for installing upholstery on the side trim of the seat back frame.
4. Upholstery.
5. Pocket: for side airbag; sewn to the upholstery.
6. Headrest: manual adjustment, electrical adjustment.
7. Backrest pad: option with or without luggage net.
8. Upholstery.
9. Edging: sewn to the upholstery; for installing upholstery on the side trim of the seat back frame.
10. Overlay: for the back frame; fixed to the seat back frame.
11. Upholstery.
12. Clamping strip: sewn to the upholstery; for installing upholstery on the lower trim of the seat back frame.
Upholstery and pillows
(seat base with adjustment mechanism. by depth)
1. Upholstery: with cushion for per mechanism. seat depth.
2. Upholstery: with seat cushion.
3. Clamping strip: fixed with clamp "pos. 4", sewn to the upholstery. Cushion bracket: for leather upholstery only; for attaching upholstery to a pillow; replace after each removal, install in the same places as before removal.
4. Clamp: covered with foam material in the cushion.
5. Clamp: covered with foam material in the cushion; for textile upholstery only.
6. Tie-down wire: inserted into the receiving pocket of the upholstery; fixed with clamp "pos. 5".
7. Clamp bar: Sewn onto the upholstery to secure the upholstery to the top frame of the seat base at the rear.
8. ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
9. Overlay: with clamping profile; sewn to the upholstery; for attaching the upholstery to the upper frame of the seat base from the side.
10. Clamping strip: sewn to the upholstery; for installing upholstery on the upper frame of the seat base at the front and sides, except for the area of the seat cushion extension.
11. Mounting bracket: for the trim on the threshold side.
12. Seat depth adjustment.
