Removal
1. Open the fifth door, unscrew the bolt securing the trim/handle in the center of the lower edge of the door (Fig. 14.1).
2. Loosen the screws on both sides and carefully pry the trim panel off, using just enough force to disengage the clips (bugs). Remove the door glass trim (frame) in the same manner (fig. 14.2, a-c).

3. Disconnect the fifth door component wiring connectors (switch for the lock, washer motor, rear lights and heated glass). Remember their placement and connection.
4. Disconnect the central locking vacuum hose from the linear connector.
5. Trace the door hinges with a marker to make reinstallation easier.
6. Ask an assistant to hold the door, disconnect the air strut as described in paragraph 15.
7. Unscrew the bolts securing the hinges to the door and move the hinges away from it.
Installation
8. Installation is the reverse procedure. Check the position of the door in the opening before tightening the hinge mounting bolts.
9. The softness of door closing is adjusted by moving the rubber buffers at the bottom and top of the door.
