Possible malfunctions of the injection system (Audi 80 B3)

The fuel tank must be full, the engine in good condition, the battery charged. The starter must provide the required number of revolutions. The ignition system must be adjusted. Leaks and contamination in the fuel system are unacceptable. Crankcase ventilation must be in order. The system must have connections to ground.

Caution: If the fuel system is opened, the connection points must be pre-cleaned.

Note: A leaky exhaust system before the lambda probe on 5-cylinder engines and engines with a regulated catalytic converter can cause the following problems: difficulty starting, the engine stalls, vibrates at idle, jerks when accelerating.
