Removal
Remove the radiator grille.
Drain and collect the coolant.
Disconnect the electrical plug from the thermal switch on the side or bottom of the radiator and from the fan motor. Release the wires from the cable ties.
Remove the hose from the radiator at the top and bottom.
Remove the connecting hoses to the expansion tank.
Unscrew the radiator. Unscrew 1 nut from the rubber-metal shock absorbers on the bottom left and right and remove them with washers.
5-cylinder engine: Loosen the radiator trim to the right of the radiator.
Unscrew the upper radiator mount.
Tilt the upper radiator mount.
Tilt the radiator and remove it together with the fan.
Installation
Replace worn rubber bushings and rubber-metal shock absorbers.
Insert the radiator with the fan from above and screw it from below with a force of 10 Nm.
Screw on the right radiator trim.
Screw the top mount with a torque of 10 Nm.
Place the hoses on top and bottom and secure them with clamps.
Install the radiator grille.
Connect the fan and thermal switch electrical wires and secure the wires with cable ties.
Fill with coolant.
After the test drive, check all radiator connections and cooling system hoses.
