Turn off the switch of the corresponding lamp or disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Open the hood.
Remove the polymer lining from the back of the headlights. To do this, unscrew the lining on the left headlight, and remove the lining upwards on the right headlight.
Headlights/parking light
Turn the cover to the left and open the bayonet lock. On the AUDI 90, fold back the wire clip.
Disconnect the multi-pin plug.
Squeeze the lamp mounting brackets and tilt back.
Remove the faulty headlight bulb.
If necessary, remove the parking light bulb socket from the reflector.
Press the parking light bulb into the socket, turn it to the left and remove it.
Insert the new parking light bulb into the socket, turn it to the right and secure it.
Insert the cartridge into the reflector.
Insert the new headlight bulb so that the retainer nose on the bulb plate lies against the notch on the reflector. The middle of the three connector flags faces up.
AUDI 90: Insert the H1 bulb for the interior high beam so that the cut of the bulb plate is on top and both thickenings enter the holes.
Snap the bracket onto the base. Compress the wire bracket and snap it into the nose of the fastener.
Connect the multi-pin connector.
Install the cover, turn it to the right and fix it. For AUDI 90, put the cover on so that the nose on the headlight fits into the recess in the cover. Press the wire clip.
Front direction indicators AUDI 80
The lamp can be replaced without removing the turn signal.
Turn left and remove the lamp holder.
Press the bulb into the socket, turn it to the left and remove it.
Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it to the right.
Insert the lamp socket and turn it to the right.
If you need to remove the direction indicators, squeeze the clamps -arrows- and pull the lamp forward.
Screw or insert the headlight trim into the guides.
Check the operation of the new lamp, if necessary, first connect the ground cable.
Close the hood.
Front direction indicators AUDI 90
Remove the Phillips head screw and pull the turn signal forward.
Turn left and remove the lamp base.
Insert a new lamp.
Insert and screw in the direction indicator.
Fog lights AUDI 80
Carefully remove the fog lamp shield.
Unscrew two screws "A" and remove the housing.
Disconnect the wire clips, replace the halogen lamp. Attach the wire clips.
Fog lights AUDI 90
Remove the direction indicator.
Unscrew the two screws and remove the housing to the side.
Disconnect the wire clip, replace the halogen lamp.
Attach the wire bracket, install the housing.
Install the direction indicator.
