Headlight adjustment is of great importance for traffic safety. Accurate headlight adjustment can only be performed using special equipment. Therefore, the conditions under which correct headlight adjustment can be performed are described here.

The tire pressure must comply with the prescribed values.

An unloaded vehicle must be loaded with 75 kg (1 person) on the driver's seat.

The tank must be full.

Place the car on a level surface.

Press hard on the front of the car several times to compress the front suspension springs.

Set the lighting range controller to position "O".

Adjustment is made only with low beam. The tilt value for normal headlights is X = 10 cm at a distance of 10 meters. For fog lights X = 20 cm at a distance of 10 m.

The headlights can be adjusted using a Phillips-head screwdriver through the holes in the bulkhead. Turn the adjusting screws "A" and/or "B" respectively with a Phillips-head screwdriver or Allen key. A = height adjustment, B = horizontal adjustment.

The headlights can be adjusted using a Phillips-head screwdriver through the holes in the bulkhead.…

AUDI 80: the fog lights are adjusted by turning screw "B" in Fig.

AUDI 90: Adjust the fog lights by turning the adjusting screw -arrow-. The turn signal does not need to be removed for adjustment.

Please note: Fog lights can only be adjusted in height.
