Replacing external lighting lamps (Audi A8 D2)

Before replacing the exterior light bulb, remove the ground cable from the battery. Remember: if the bulb has just been on, it may be too hot.

Before replacing an external lighting lamp, check the corresponding electrical circuit and fuse. Do not touch the glass bulb of the lamp with bare hands. Grease stains on the lamp will darken the bulb and cause the lamp to fail quickly. Always replace failed lamps with lamps of the same type. Wipe off any grease stains that may appear due to carelessness with a clean, lint-free cloth or alcohol.

When replacing gas discharge (xenon) be careful when handling lamps, as the power source of these lamps can cause a strong electric shock.

It is not recommended to replace gas discharge lamps on your own (xenon) lamps that can be identified by the high voltage sign sticker on the lamp body,

H7 high pressure incandescent lamps may burst when replaced, so they should be replaced wearing gloves and protective glasses.
