1. Remove the door trim panel (Chapter 14).
2. Disconnect the lock release button and the outer handle lever linkage from the lock.
3. Unscrew the lock mounting screws (photo).
4. Disconnect the inner cable from the lock lever.
5. Remove the lock from the retainer and remove the gasket.
6. Reassemble in reverse order. To facilitate reconnection, insert a screwdriver through the hole shown in Fig. 11.10. Attach the linkage rod to the outer handle so that there is a maximum play of 1.0 mm.
