Note: When installing a new instrument cluster, the ECM data must be transferred to it, otherwise the immobilizer will not work. After replacing the instrument cluster, the keys must also be programmed. Before starting the instrument cluster replacement, connect the scan tool and run the instrument cluster replacement procedure.
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Remove the central deflectors in the instrument panel (see Section 9 of Chapter 3), squeeze the pad (1 in the illustration) in the direction of the arrow and, holding it, push it out of the key block.

3. Insert hook #3438 into the resulting gap between the keys and carefully pull out the key block (1 in the illustration) and disconnect their connector.

Similarly, remove the cover and the key block located to the right of the central deflectors.
4. Use wedge #3409 to pry up the lower edges of the flashing (1 in the illustration) in the direction of the arrow (A), and then remove the cover plate in the direction of the arrow (B).

5. Remove the instrument cluster cover mounting bolts (see illustrations) and separate the trim from the instrument panel.

6. Release the holder from the overlay (4 in the illustration) wiring, cut the tie (3), move the lock (2) in the direction of the arrow and disconnect the connector (1) of the MMI display.

7. Disconnect the instrument cluster wiring harness connector and remove it together with the MMI display between the steering wheel and the instrument panel.
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
