1. The brake pedal mounting parts are shown in the illustration.
5.1. Brake pedal and bracket mounting parts:
1 - Pedal bracket;
2 - Self-locking nut, replaceable, 20 Nm;
3 - Axle pin;
4 - Brake pedal;
5 - Bearing race;
6 - Support of the articulated head of the vacuum booster rod;
7 - Support;
8, 13 - Bolt, 8 Nm;
9 - Deformable pillar in case of an accident;
10 - Pin;
11 - Retainer;
12 - Bracket;
14 - D/W brake lights "F" and brake pedal sensor "F47".
Lubricate all working and mating surfaces with grease G 000 45002.
2. To remove the brake pedal, remove the brake light bulbs and disconnect the pedal from the brake booster (see the relevant subsections below). Then give the nut (2 in illustration 5.1), pull out the finger (3) and remove the pedal.

3. You can determine whether a sensor or a brake light control module is installed by the color marking of the centering element on the sensor.
4. Remove the right instrument panel trim (see Chapter 10).
5. To remove the brake light LEDs, disconnect the connector and turn the LEDs counterclockwise 45° (see illustration).
5.5. Removing the brake lights.
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Pull the plunger out completely before installation. When installing, do not press the brake pedal - the plunger will adjust automatically.
6. To remove the brake light sensor, disconnect the connector and fully press the plunger (In the illustration) and in this position, turn the colored sensor holder counterclockwise until it stops (A).
5.6. Removing the brake light sensor.
Release the plunger and insert the T40168 puller between it and the pedal with the beveled side towards the driver's seat. Press the puller to release the three sensor clips and pull the sensor out of the support (C).
7. Before installing the sensor, the pedal must be connected to the vacuum booster. Do not press the pedal during installation. Lightly press the sensor into the support until all three clips engage, then turn the sensor holder clockwise and connect the connector. The plunger adjusts automatically.

8. Remove the brake light bulbs (see subsection above).
9. Install puller T10189 (see illustration).
5.9. Separating the brake pedal from the vacuum booster.
Press the brake pedal lightly and hold it in this position. Press the puller towards the booster, preventing the pedal from moving back. At the same time, the retaining tabs (3) of the support are pressed away from the ball head of the rod (2). Continue pressing on the puller while simultaneously pulling the pedal toward the driver's seat to separate the pedal from the rod.
10. While holding the stem hinge in front of the support, slide the pedal onto the booster stem until it locks into place (see illustration).
