Remove 1/3 of the rear seat on the right. Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove cover -1- from sealing flange. Disconnect plug -1 - from flange. To do this, move the stopper -1 -upward -arrow A- and press the unlock button inward -arrow B-. Connect a multimeter to check the resistance between contacts -2- and -3-. Fuel level sender -G- installed: sender on lower stop: approx. 285 Ohm, sensor on top stop: approx. 60 Ohm.
If the measured value is 0 ohm, there is a short circuit; if it is equal to infinity Ohm, there is an open circuit. To check resistance values "Tank is full" or "Tank is empty", it is necessary to remove the fuel supply module and swing the sensor float to the upper or lower limit. When the fuel level sensor is removed, the following values are obtained as a result of greater float deflection. Fuel level sensor -G-removed: sensor on lower stop: approx. 285 Ohm, sensor on top stop: approx. 53 Ohm. Connect a multimeter to check the resistance between contacts -3- and -4-. Fuel level sender -G- installed or removed: in any sensor position: approx. 340 Ohm. Installation is in reverse order, observing the following. Install the flange cover. Install 1/3 of the rear seat on the right.
