Fuel filler flap (Audi Q5-8R)

Open the fuel tank hatch. Clean the area around the fuel tank filler neck. Unscrew the locking cap "arrow" of the fuel tank filler neck.



Unlock the retaining ring lock using a Torx "arrow" screwdriver.

Insert pliers into both "arrow" holes of the locking ring. Turn the locking ring 25° counterclockwise.





Bend the retaining ring into the filler neck and pull it out through the "arrow" recess in the cap.





Remove the protection against incorrect filling from the filler neck "arrow", if necessary, use pliers for retaining rings.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order, taking into account the following: Install the protection against incorrect filling in the filler neck. The protrusion on the protection against incorrect filling must enter the groove of the filler neck "arrow".



Install the retaining ring with pliers, turning it 25° clockwise. When installed correctly, the marks on the retaining ring and the filler neck should be opposite each other "arrows".
