Unscrew the 2 fastening bolts of the «arrow» of the replaceable air filter element.

Installation

For the perfect operation of the air flow meter "G70" it is important to perform the following technological processes. If the filter insert is heavily contaminated or saturated with moisture, dirt particles or moisture can get into the mass air flow sensor "G70" and disrupt the operation of the device. This will lead to a loss of power, since a smaller fuel injection volume is calculated. Use only the original replacement air filter element. Use a sealant to install the air intake (silicone free). Secure all hose connections with clamps that match the standard equipment. Check the water drain hose "arrow" at the bottom of the air filter for dirt (clean if necessary).

For the perfect operation of the air flow meter «G70» it is important to perform the following…

Clean the air filter housing (upper and lower part) from salt residues, dirt or leaves (if necessary, clean by pumping out). Check the mass air flow sensor and air supply hose (side of clean air) for salt residue, dirt and leaves. Check the suction channel of the replacement air filter element for dirt. When installing the filter element, check that it is installed exactly in the center of the mount in the upper part of the air filter housing. Bolt the new air filter element to the upper part of the air filter housing.

The connecting pad of the air filter element "1" must fit against the connecting pad of the air filter housing "2". Carefully place the upper part of the air filter housing without applying excessive force onto the lower part of the air filter housing. Before tightening, check again whether the upper part of the air filter housing is in the groove of the lower part of the air filter housing (air leakage possible).

Then screw the upper part of the air filter housing to the lower part with bolts. Make sure that the air duct hose of the air flow meter "G70" is tightly seated. Reconnect the electrical connector to the air flow meter "G70". Installation is in the reverse order.
