Installation
For the perfect functioning of the air mass meter, it is important to follow the instructions given below and to follow the operating procedure at all times.
Instruction. If the air filter insert is heavily soiled or wet, dirt particles or moisture may enter the air mass meter and falsify the measured air mass value. This will result in a loss of power as a smaller fuel injection volume is calculated. Use only the original air filter insert. The hose fittings and hoses of the charge air system must be free of oil and grease before installation. Do not use silicone-containing lubricants when mounting. The air filter housing must be kept clean. Use clamps of the appropriate series to fasten all hose connections. When blowing out the air filter housing with compressed air, observe the following rules: to avoid malfunctions, important air ducts such as air mass meter, air ducts, etc. must be covered with a clean cloth. Disposal instructions must be observed! Check drain hose (in the presence of), if necessary, clean. The drain must be free. Clean the air filter housing (upper and lower parts) from salt residue, dirt or leaves (vacuum if necessary). Check air mass meter and air hose (clean air side) for salt, dirt and leaves residues. Check the air duct from the radiator frame to the air filter housing for debris and leaves. When installing the air filter insert, make sure that it is centered on the mounting on the bottom of the air filter housing. Install the upper part of the air filter housing onto the lower part carefully, without applying excessive force. When doing this, make sure that the upper part of the air filter housing is installed on the air filter insert without distortion (observe the sealing lips of the air filter insert). Make sure air hose is securely seated on air mass meter -G70-.
