Caution! On vehicles with adaptive cruise control (ACC), additionally consider the following. If the safety bar has been removed and reinstalled or changes have been made to the ACC holder, the adaptive cruise control must be adjusted.

Used distance control "J428"; 9. Left support; 10. Safety bar holder, left; 11. Bolt. Used for fixing on the radiator frame. 4 NmRemoval

All cable ties should be installed in their original locations. Remove the front bumper trim panel. Disconnect the plug connector "4" from the horn and remove the electric wire "3" from the horn bracket. Disconnect the washer nozzle hose by cutting the cable ties. Unscrew the bolts "arrows" and remove the spacer bracket "2" from the bumper trim. Remove the safety bar "5" from the fasteners.
Install the front bumper trim.
Removal the safety bar holder 1. Bolt 55 Nm; 2. Safety bar. Removed; 3. Safety bar holder. Removal: Mark the mounting position of the bracket relative to the radiator frame. Remove the front bumper trim panel. Remove the safety bar "2". Unscrew the bolts. Unscrew the fixing bolt "4". Remove the safety bar holder from the radiator frame. Installation: Install the safety bar bracket in accordance with the mark made after removal. Install the safety bar. Install the front bumper trim; 4. Fixing bolt. 5 Nm
