Removing the outside door handle
Move the door seal to one side and remove the protective film over the opening -arrow A-. Unscrew the clamping bolt -4- completely using a screwdriver. Pull the outside door handle and hold it in position "open". Press the mounting brackets -3-body inward, the outer door handle is fixed in position "open". Remove housing -2- from support bracket -arrow B-.
Pull the outer door handle -1- in the direction of the arrow-, thereby removing the outer door handle from the drive lever in the support bracket.
Move the outer door handle -1- outwards -arrow- and remove it from its mounting on the support bracket. On a car with "keyless entry system" Disconnect plug connector -2- from outside door handle.
Installation
Replace damaged or fragile linings -1- and -2- of the outer door handle.
Insert the outer door handle -1- -arrow A-, making sure the outer door handle engages in the mounting -2 on the support bracket -3-. Move the outside door handle -1- in the direction of arrow B- and enter "leash"-5- in front of the drive lever -4- in the support bracket. Press the mounting bracket of the outer door handle housing.
Removing the outside door handle
Remove the outside door handle. Use an awl -1- to pry off the trim -2- of the outer door handle in the place indicated in the figure -arrow-. Remove trim from outside door handle -3-.
Installation
Insert the outer door handle trim until it clicks into place. Install the outside door handle.
Removing rear door outside handle sensor -G417-/-G418-
To avoid damage to the sensor, proceed as described below. Remove the outer door handle -2- with sensor -1-.
Using a small screwdriver, carefully release the fasteners at arrows -A and B- and press the connector -3- with wiring to the side. Place a screwdriver in front of the sensor, as shown in Fig.
Push the sensor forward by lightly turning the screwdriver from the outside door handle. Remove the sensor from the outside door handle.
