External door handle 1. External door handle; 2. Bolt 2.5 Nm; 3. Front lining; 4. Door; 5. Bottom lining; 6. Housing instead of the lock cylinder for the front passenger door. Removal is carried out in the same way as with the lock cylinder; 7. Driver's door lock cylinder; 8. Magnet (only for vehicles with "keyless entry system"); 9. Cover. Fasten to the lock cylinder; 10. Removal the outside door handle
Push the door seal aside and remove the cover "4" from the hole. Unscrew the clamp bolt "3" completely with a screwdriver. Pull the outer door handle and hold it in the "open" position. Press the fastening brackets "2" of the lock cylinder inward, the door handle is fixed in the "open" position. Remove the lock cylinder "1" from the door "arrow".
If the lock cylinder cannot be removed, insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder and remove it by lightly turning the key. Pull the outer door handle "1" "in the direction of the arrow", due to this the outer door handle is removed from the drive lever in the support bracket.
Tilt the outer door handle "1" outward "arrow" and remove it from the mount on the support bracket. On vehicles with "keyless entry system", disconnect the plug connector "2" from the outer door handle.
Installation
Replace damaged or brittle outer door handle washers "1" and "2".
Insert the outer door handle "1" "arrow A", while the outer door handle should enter the fastening -2 on the support bracket "3". Tilt the outer door handle -1—in the direction of arrow B- and insert the "leash" "5" in front of the drive lever "4" in the support bracket.
Press the outer door handle lock cylinder retaining bracket. Install the lock cylinder.
Removal the outside door handle
On cars without a "keyless entry system", a cover is installed instead of the outer door handle sensor. Remove the outer door handle. Using a small screwdriver "1", pry up the cover "2" of the door handle at the location indicated in the figure "arrow". Remove the cover from the outer door handle "3".
Installation
Installation in reverse order. Insert the outer door handle cover until it clicks into place. Install the outer door handle. Install the lock cylinder.
Removing the front door outer handle sensor "G605" / "G606"
To avoid damaging the sensor, proceed as described below: Remove the outer door handle "2" with sensor "1".
Carefully release the clamps at the arrows "A" and "B" with a small screwdriver and push the connector "3" with the wiring to the side. As shown in the figure, insert the screwdriver in front of the sensor into the door handle. Push the sensor forward with a slight turn of the screwdriver from the outer door handle.
Remove the sensor from the outside door handle.
