The doors, fuel tank cap and trunk are locked using electric motors. The central lock consists of a control unit and separate servo drives.
The door remote controls are built into the door lock and have two motors. One motor locks the door, the other the inside door handle (security function). Doors cannot be opened from the inside. Door remote elements can only be replaced together with the lock.
The fuel tank and trunk lid spacers each have one motor and can be replaced separately.
In the event of an accident with airbag deployment, the central locking control unit automatically opens all locked doors.
The central locking control unit is located in front of the driver's seat under the floor mat.
