The doors, fuel tank cap and trunk are locked by electric motors. The central lock consists of a control unit and separate servo drives.
Remote door elements are mounted in the door lock and have two motors. One motor locks the door, the other motor locks the inside door handle (safety function). Doors cannot be opened from the inside. Remote door elements can only be replaced together with the lock.
The remote elements of the tank lid and trunk have one engine each and can be replaced separately from them.
In the event of an accident involving the deployment of airbags, the central locking control unit automatically unlocks all locked doors.
The central locking control unit is located in front of the driver's seat under the floor mat.
