If the coolant hose breaks on the way, the leak can be temporarily sealed with adhesive tape. To be safe, open the cap of the expansion tank one turn, in which case full working pressure is not created, so the adhesive tape will not come off. While driving, always pay attention to the coolant overheat warning light. A defective hose must be replaced promptly. Buy only branded hoses with the appropriate arc shape, along with the hoses, get new hose clamps.
1. Drain and collect coolant in a suitable container.
2. Loosen the hose clamps, remove the hoses.
3. Loosen the stuck ends of the hoses with a screwdriver. Insert a screwdriver between the hose and the fitting and, using it as a lever, carefully separate the hose from the fitting.
4. Push the new hoses over the nozzles to a sufficient depth so that they do not slip.
5. Do not use force when tightening the hose clamps, otherwise the threads will break, and this will inevitably cause a new leak.
