1. Block the front wheels, then jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on axle stands. If required, remove the rear wheels for better access.
2. Loosen and remove the bolts connecting the diagonal link to the bottom and rear axle, noting that the bolt heads are adjacent to the link (photo). Get traction from under the car.
3. Check up a condition of draft and plugs. If necessary, the bushings can be replaced using a long bolt, metal pipe and washers. Soak bushings in soapy water before installation.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. But do not fully tighten the mounting bolts before setting the weight of the vehicle on the suspension.
